Onlookers feared the worst on Sunday as a helicopter pilot lost control of his aircraft which was carrying an Indian politician.

A video of the incident, which was filmed in Alwar Ladpur Village in Rajasthan state, shows the helicopter coming into land on a dusty field.

Locals can be heard cheering as the aircraft descends but then, just a few metres from touching down, the helicopter suddenly begins to spin.

After several violent rotations, the pilot manages to regain control and landed safely.

The helicopter was carrying Mahant Balaknath, the current Member of Parliament from Alwar Lok Sabha constituency in Rajasthan.

An Indian Lawmaker in Rajasthan’s Alwar Ladpur Village had a close shave after the helicopter in which he was flying appeared to have lost control on Sunday 30th June around 11 AM. The helicopter carrying Mahant Balaknath, the lawmaker in Alwar, began spinning rapidly while landing on a ground .A chilling video shows the chopper, just a few metres above the ground, rotating violently. Locals can be heard shouting and waving as the helicopter kicks up dust on the ground. In seconds, the pilot managed to regain control and proceeded with the flight. Balak Nath, 35, had won from Alwar in the national election and secured over 7.6 lakh votes.
