Freak Mountainous Snow Storm UK ~ Almost Trapped

Footage has emerged of a motorist struggling to traverse a mountain pass in the Black Mountains, Wales during a heavy snowstorm on Wednesday.

The video, captured by driver Charlie Hambley, shows the vehicle struggling to move along a snow-covered road, prompting Mr Hambley to turn back and try a different route.

According to local reports, parts of Wales were also hit by 'thundersnow': a combination of snow and lightning.

"The intention was to drive over the mountain to get to the village. Without warning it started raining, which turned to snow very quickly. I got 300 yards further before I got stuck and had to reverse back down the mountain before I could turn. I'd like to note that the only window that wasn't covered with snow was the windscreen, which is the only window you look out of. We managed to get off the mountain but we were lucky. You can see how hard it was coming down by the road turning to white".
