This is was the moment a large great white shark almost managed to catch a cameraman off guard in Mossel Bay.

The cameraman, stood on a cage, was instructing the shark to look at his camera before the marine mammal darted forward, just missing the camera and its operator.

This footage was filmed on March 25.

Hi there thanks for the message . Was from a shark cage dive tour . The shark has a organ called the ampulae of lorenzini wich is very sensitive to electical impulses . White aharks are very curios animals . The animal confused the go pro camera enclosed in a "mini shark cage" for the bait and lunged for it. Shark was not trying to bite the camera man . the camera man of the go pro name is Tony . Took place in Mosselbay south africa . March 25 2019
