Students protesting in the city of Padang, Indonesia attacked photos of President Joko Widodo.

The attacks were caught on camera during a demonstration at the West Sumatra Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) on September 25.

President Widodo's photo in the DPRD's courtroom was pelted with hard objects and was hit with a stick. This action received a standing ovation from other students.

The students were protesting against the revision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) law, as well as the revision of other Draft Laws, such as the Criminal Code Bill, the Penitentiary Bill, believing these will harm citizens and favour the corrupt officials.

Similar protest actions took place in a number of regions across Indonesia, including in Jakarta, the former capital.
