Shark attacks and steal Lionfish from spear fishing divers

We came across 2 divers who were performing a licensed Lionfish hunt on a reef in Antigua along with their dive guide. Lionfish are native to Indo-Pacific regions but have become invasive in other oceans.
The Caribbean, in particular, performs regular Lionfish culls to keep the numbers down ensuring the reefs are kept healthy.

Our group of divers noticed the Black Tip Sharks behaving erratically, then realized that a Lionfish had already been speared and was in the container which had heightened the shark's senses and interest.
The divers on the Lionfish cull were returning with another fish on the spear, which then became lunch for one of the greedy sharks.

We've seen sharks on baited divers before, but this was a totally different experience, and fascinating to watch.
We also noticed a couple of the sharks had tags on their dorsal fins - beautiful creatures to see up close..!!
