Residents rescue an injured dog after it fell into a canal in the Philippines. The poor dog caught their attention as both of its hind legs appeared to have been injured and it coul only move by dragging itself using its front legs.

Grasya Mariano was walking with his friends around their neighbourhood in Bulacan province on August 17 when they spotted the white dog. Apart from being injured, its hind legs were covered in mud.

Since the dog does not look like an Aspin breed, Grasya believes that it could be a missing dog who got injured so they are looking for its owner. She said: "My friend takes care of it temporarily. I hope we find its owner, but we will help take care of it even if we do not."
