Money worth $63,000 showered on singers at folk programme in western India
Cash worth Rs 45 lakhs (USD 63,000) was showered on performers at a traditional event in western India's Gujarat.
According to reports, organisers of the event had to take the help of many currency counting machines after they failed to count it manually.
The incident took place on Oct. 13 in Veraval municipality in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat state.
The folk music programme was organised to collect money for a temple as well as for cow fodder.
Invitees got so involved in the programme that they started throwing the money in the air while moving to the music.
Visuals show the donors raining money at each other as well as the musicians.
Next, organisers and volunteers can be seen collecting and counting the money.
