Giant Pacific octopus attempts to steal scuba diver's camera during incredible close encounter
A scuba diver in America comes face-to-face with a giant Pacific octopus while exploring Three Tree Point dive site near Seattle.
Filmed on May 16, the giant Pacific octopus moves towards the diver at great speed before attempting to steal a large underwater camera. The diver continues to film the huge animal as it's tentacles engulf the camera.
The filmer told Newsflare: "I started filming as soon as I saw the octopus jetting through the water.
"Typically giant Pacific octopuses are rather shy and we scuba divers see them deep in their dens, so we get giddy when seeing them out in the open.
"Not sure why this one behaved this way, but it was a delight to see!"
