A wild elephant led its herd through a south Indian urban neighbourhood, terrifying the local dogs, in this amazing CCTV footage from November 13.

The wild elephant herd of about six elephants arrived in the densely populated areas of Lakshmi Nagar Base 3 near Kadi Nayakanpayam, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

CCTV shows a large tusked elephant chasing away a pack of local dogs, before a few seconds later the rest of the herd, including at least one calf, charged through.

The wild elephant herd of about 6 elephants arrived in the densely populated areas of Lakshmi Nagar Base 3 near Kadi Nayakanpayam, Coimbatore. The scene of chasing down Dog by wild angry male elephant was captured by a CCTV camera mounted on it, followed by two elephants with two cubs. When the resident came out after hearing the noise of the dogs, they were alarmed to find that the herd of six elephants had become commonplace in residential areas.
