A teenager breaks his legs trying to avoid arrest for second-degree burglary in the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Monday (November 18).

The teenager unboarded the United Airlines flight (from Houston to Oklahoma City) to escape police.

Police say he got out through a side door on the jet bridge and ran across the terminal.

He climbed to the terminal roof and jumped to the apron below when he broke both his legs.

I was waiting to board a flight and saw a kid running across the tarmac in a red and white striped sweater. He looked too young to be a worker and there were a few guys in yellow vests chasing him. I looked left and right to see if the guys next to me noticed they didn’t. I saw a police car then ems and fire head toward the other end of the terminal on the tarmac so I got up and walked to the end of the gates by the window near gate 24. There was the kid on the ground in pain surrounded by folks and I started videoing and taking pictures. I asked the guy next to me who said he jumped from the plane loading tunnel roof about 30 ft drop and it looked like he broke his legs.
