Lone wolf feasts on a watermelon
A snarling wolf stunned visitors to a wildlife sanctuary after it licked its lips and devoured - a whole watermelon.
The critically endangered canines - normally perceived to be strictly carnivorous - actually love a little fruit in their diet.
Filmed at the Wolf Conservation Center, in South Salem, New York, USA, the wolf happily chomps his way through the entire fruit in the clip.
Maggie Howell, the executive director of the WCC, said: “Most people believe wolves are strictly carnivores, but they actually have a varied, omnivorous diet.
