An Australian mountain biker managed to capture his own horrific crash on his helmet camera while riding in Tongarra on January 15.

Riding alone is not a smart idea when everything can go wrong so quickly. This guy was very lucky.

I’ve been a mountain biker for about a year since taking a ride through the Swiss alps.

Recently discovered the glory of electric mountain bikes for parks like the one in the video as you can bomb it down the mountain and get a power assisted ride back up in no time at all.

This trail I had only visited once before but it was a simple section of the trail late in the day. I became complacent and lazy.

I had significant bruising to my abdomen. Not sure what from! And a nasty slice in my leg.

My first react after the crash was to see if I could reach my phone to call emergency. I realised I was okay and was able to walk my slightly damaged bike down the mountain to my car and drive home.

Had I not been okay, I wouldn’t have been found for potentially days!!

Exact date was Wednesday 15th January 2020.

I’m a huge advocate for ebikes for the lifestyle/health/environmental/pure enjoyment benefits. I was planning to shoot a video highlighting the benefits of ebikes for all the haters when this crash occurred.
