Hundreds marched peacefully in the Spanish capital in support of a general strike held on Thursday (January 30) in the Basque Country.

Thousands took to the streets across the Basque region to demand improved working and living conditions.

Demonstration in defense of pensions for the right to live with dignity. and in support of the Euskalherria General Strike legalized by the Euskal Herria Social Rights Charter (ELA, LAB, ESK, CNT, Etxealde Steilas and Hiru) and convened by its more than 100 organizations on January 30, 2020 in defense of decent public pensions and for the repeal of the last 2 labor reforms. His tour has been 19 hours from Atocha and will end in Sol-Madrid. Guarantee decent and sufficient public pensions:

- Repeal of the regressive aspects of the pension reforms of 2011 and 2013.

- Repeal of labor reforms.

- Automatic revaluation of pensions based on at least the real CPI, guaranteed by law.

- Minimum pension of € 1080.

- Minimum Interprofessional Salary of € 1200

- End gender inequality in wages and pensions:

▪ Widow's pension 100% regulatory basis

- Early retirement without penalty.

- Repeal of health co-payment and medicamentation.
