Harry is a disabled, rescue puppy from Aruba. He was found in a basket with his siblings, after someone had poured acid on them. Harry was unharmed, but he has spina bifida.
He had surgery a month before this video because of chronic paraphimosis and just before that, a customized wheelchair was made for him, but he hadn’t been able to use it because he needed to heal from surgery first.
In this video I am picking him up from a weekend visit from a family who takes them every once in a while so I can get a break- they surprised me by having him in his wheelchair when I picked him up.
When he saw me he started running to me, and I couldn’t believe it, this was the first time he had run to me like a ‘normal’ puppy. It was amazing watching him run to the people he loved, and play with other dogs, and smell all the smells.
This is a dog who has had challenge after challenge, and is a living his best life.
