Nigel Farage spoke at a rally in Parliament Square on Brexit Day (January 31) where a recording of a clock chimed eleven times to mark the departure in place of Big Ben which is currently undergoing renovations.

Scenes of jubilation were played out around the square with cries of "We did it" and "We're free", heard coming from the crowd.

On the 31st January at 11pm, the UK formally left tbe European Union after voting to leave in 2016.
