A nosy Persian cat pokes its head through a hole in the ceiling to see what is happening below.

The adorable four-month-old moggy lives in the old wooden house in Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya, central Thailand.

A small gap has opened up in the floorboards above, which the kitten, named Hawaii, has started using to look through when it hears people below.

Owner Nam Amporn recorded the curious cat looking at her while she was leaving for work last Tuesday (February 11) morning.

Nam said her four months old moggy named Hawaii loves showing its little face through the above narrow gap every time the family leaves the house.

She said: "Hawaii always says goodbyes before we go to work in the morning. Instead of running downstairs, she just pokes her head through the hole.

''Every time we come back or she hears any noise, she looks through the hole, too.

''We were thinking about having it repaired but I think we could keep it there, because it's so cute when Hawaii puts her head through.''
