According to local reports, 29 tourists travelled in three luxury coaches for 21 kilometres from Shimla to Kaithalighat on Kalka-Shimla, the 115-year-old heritage steam engine.

This is only the second time this year that the historic train travelled on the World Heritage Kalka-Shimla railway track in north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

The railway department has fixed a whooping $1725 (£1331) per ticket.

The video shows the 115-year-old steam engine train which uses on coal as a source of fuel and a group of foreign tourists in the trains luxury coaches.

The whistle in the steam engine rings with the pressure of steam which is louder and longer than a diesel engine.

This is the second time the steam engine was put to use this year. The railway department has fixed $1725 for the travel in the historic steam engine.
