Giant Airbus Beluga lands and departs in crosswinds at Hawarden Airport

The Airbus 'Beluga', or A300-600ST is used to transport oversized cargo between the different Airbus factories across Europe, namely Hamburg, Hawarden and Toulouse. Hawarden is where Airbus produce the wings for future airbus aircraft, these wings are then transported in these impressive looking planes to the other factories where the rest of the aircraft is assembled.

During our afternoon at Hawarden (Broughton/Chester) we managed to film two arrivals and two departures of this fantastic aircraft, including a great head-on shot of the Beluga dealing with a bit of a crosswind as it comes into land.

This video was filmed at Hawarden Airport on the 19th February 2020.
