Police officials have taken a novel approach of spreading awareness about the coronavirus pandemic through dramatized skit performances in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The incident took place at Kurnool on March 31, 2020.

The video shows people dressed in various Hindu mythological characters spreading consciousness among locals about the coronavirus outbreak.

The characters represent several Indian mythological deities as Yama and Chitragupta.

The police officials are hopeful that this initiative will help educate people about the virus and the necessity of maintaining social distance to stop the rapid spread.

Several cops across the country have tried out creative and unusual methods of spreading awareness about coronavirus.
