Rubik's Cube guru, Tony Fisher, has created a flying version of the classic puzzle which is controlled by his hand movements.

The lifelong puzzle fan raises his hand up and the Rubik's Cube flies up with it due to a sensor at the bottom which detects any movement underneath it.

A man has created a flying Rubik's Cube puzzle. We see Tony Fisher of Ipswich controlling his latest creation with hand movements. Steering is not possible but it rises when you put your hand or something below it and sinks it is removed. The life long puzzle fan recently regained the world record the largest Rubik's Cube when his 2.02m cube was ratified by Guinness.

It has a sensor on the bottom which detects anything beneath the cube within a range of around 20 cm. When something (like your hand or the ground) is detected the motor speeds up sending the cube into the air. When the cube is clear and no longer detects anything the motor slows down and the cube gently sinks again. Steering is not possible and in theory it should only move up or down. However any air movement / breeze results in the cube moving sideways.
