Hailstorms and strong winds have damaged fruit trees in Jammu and Kashmir, northern India, on April 17.

Strong winds have blown off the newly bloomed flowers from the trees meaning the fruit is unlikely to grow.

Residents have pleaded with the District Administration Doda and District Administration Ramban that the poor people should be given compensation for taking stock of the loss.

In various places of District Doda, heavy rains, hailstorms have damaged the fruit trees. People said that all the new flowers that had bloomed in their fruit trees had fallen due to the strong wind and hail. It is not possible to make fruits on trees this year.
