This is the gruesome moment a snake was seen trying to eat a frog that it caught in a water pot.

Resident Aum Wattana recorded the creatures while she was cleaning her front yard in Bangkok, central Thailand on April 24.

Aum said: "I understand the natural food chain. I let the hungry snake do its business. Luckily, no one in my family was harmed by the snake."

Footage shows the Kukri Snake using its mouth to take the live frog out of the water and eat it for lunch. The wild animal grabbed the frog in its mouth before slithering away.

Kukri snakes are nonvenomous species native to Asian countries especially Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan and Nepal.
