Timelapse records growth of philodendron white princess house plant

Buy video

Another plant new leaf timelapse! Plant: Philodendron White Princess. I thought this would be a 5-day filming process but this took 3 weeks! One reason could be that this plant has white variegation meaning that part of the leaf lacks chlorophyll; the food-producing unit. This genetic mutation results in its growing slower than other plants, but is a highly sought-after trait in houseplant collectors.

Spontaneous balloon was given to me to celebrate submitting my thesis.

Only upon compiling the timelapse did I notice the leaf on the far left slowly moving toward the light!
