This South African farmer built a chipping machine to make feed for his sheep during the country's ongoing drought.

Filmed on May 20 the footage shows the Springbok farmer placing large cactus leaves into the machine which then grinds them down into bite-sized chunks for his sheep.

The cactus plants survive better under the drought conditions, but is too large and the leaves to big for the sheep to eat. With the drought conditions the farmer had not choice but to make a plan. No grazing for the sheep forced the farmer in South Africa to build a impressive home made chipping machine to break up the cactus leaves into smaller pieces for the sheep to eat. It works perfectly and can be used by one person.
