market traders in the West Sumatra Payakumbuh City were involved in a commotion with the local security forces. They forcibly opened a blockade of officers banning activities inside the market due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The traders are angry, because it's been more than two months not allowed to sell as usual. They began to be impatient, because they did not have enough money anymore for life. the government does not fully cover the cost of living for citizens, because many do not get help.

since almost the last two months, the Government of West Sumatra Province has imposed Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), one of which regulates the ban on activities in the market. The new PSBB will end on 29 May, while Idul Fitri on May 24, 2020.
