A day after cyclone Nisarg rumbled through western India's Maharashtra, the cyclone left its capital city waterlogged and flooded.

The visual came out of King's Circle in Matunga of Mumbai on June 4.

According to reports, people in Mumbai witnessed a rainy morning with intermittent splashes across the city.

While Mumbai emerged relatively unscathed from the tropical storm, it was hit by heavy rain the following morning that led to water-logging in some parts of the city.

The visuals show heavy downpour leading to waterlogged streets across the capital and commuters travelling in knee-deep water.

Vehicular traffic and pedestrian movement have also been disrupted due to waterlogging on roads.

Some vehicles can be seen with submerged wheels parked at the side of the road.

Buses and trucks can be seen plying on the road half-submerged in flooded water while traffic police personnel in the middle of the road tries their best to keep the traffic rolling.

Visuals from Alibaug - a popular getaway about 100 kilometres from Mumbai - on June 3 showed trees swaying, electricity poles toppling amid strong winds and heavy rain as the severe cyclonic storm made landfall.
