French paraglider Sébastien Watier filmed his intense "simulated flight incident" course above the Lac d'Aiguebelette, east France.

The footage shows Watier battle to keep control of his paraglider as the wind attempts to blow him of course.

Waltier told Newsflare: "The course takes place above the water in case of not mastering the paraglider, we can deploy the rescue parachute and thus fall into the water. A qualified instructor is on a safety boat to guide us for the exercises and pick us up in the water if necessary."
