This was the moment an eight-week-old puppy had an adorable encounter with a springy doorstop.

The clip, filmed in Ohio on May 27 shows the moment the service dog in training Amy, was playing and barking at the doorstop trying to catch it.

Mallory Faler, the filmer, is fostering Amy and training her to be a service dog: "I’m am fostering her and I’m a volunteer trainer for the non-profit organisation 4 Paws for Ability located in Xenia, Ohio. She is in training to become a service dog for a child or veteran with a disability.

"My job as a volunteer trainer is to teach her basic commands and socialise her to all kinds of sights and sounds! Since she is itty bitty still, I like to start at the bottom with socialising.

"The door stop has always been a favourite but Amy just found it to be the greatest thing!! In the video, she’s just batting it around trying to catch it but it’s fighting back."

My name is Mallory Faler, I’m 20 years old, I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio. I personally filmed this video, It was shot at my house in Ohio on May 27, 2020.

The puppy in the video, Amy (though I call her Mimi!) was 8 weeks old at the time and I had just picked her up the night before. I’m am fostering her and I’m a volunteer trainer for the non-profit organisation "4 Paws for Ability" located in Xenia, Ohio.
