This was the moment a yogi from Sivasagar district in north-east India's Assam was lifted into the air from his ponytail.

The footage captured on June 11 shows Ashim Boruah demonstrating anti-gravity yoga asana hanging from his hair using a rope while flaunting a yoga pose mid-air.

Baruah can perform his abilities to hang from his hair continuously for over an hour.

He said he achieved it through his devoted, dedicated and spiritual yoga practices that he performs daily.

Hailing from Sivasagar district in north-east India's Assam, 32-year-old Ashim Boruah can exhibit remarkable aerial yoga postures hanging by his hair or even pull buses using his tresses.

The visual, shot on June 11, came out of Lakshya Academy, which was founded by Manash Pratim Sharma in Guwahati, where Boruah is a teacher.

Boruah started practising yoga at the age of seven under the guidance of yoga guru Ananta Saikia.

With sheer perseverance and practice, he allowed yoga to drive him to the depth, exploring his abilities in several yoga asanas traversing through different dimensions.

His determination gave him the ability to hang from his hair, pull a mini truck and even lift 105 kg (231 lbs) just using his hair.

Ashim Baruah has so far succeeded in bagging 12 gold and silver medals in the state and national-level competitions through his phenomenal yoga tactics.

He is also the recipient of the Bhupan Hazarika Perona Award in 2018, the Bharat Yogi Award in 2019 and also won a gold medal in International Yoga Championship in 2016 and 2017.

Baruah can perform his abilities to hang from his hair for more than one and a half hour continuously.

He said he achieved it through his devoted, dedicated and spiritual yoga practices that he performs daily.

Boruah believes yoga helps to make the human body strong and also helps in enriching and channelling the energies through which people can achieve the unexplored.
