Police in New Zealand have found the woman wanted in relation to the shooting of Constable Matthew Hunt.

According to local media, thirty-year-old Natalie Bracken was been taken into custody "without incident" after she was found at an address in west Auckland.

Hunt was shot dead, and another officer seriously hurt, during a routine traffic stop in Auckland's Massey on Friday.

Police are on the hunt for a woman they allege was an accessory after the fact to the killing of an Auckland officer.

Constable Matthew Hunt was shot dead, and another officer seriously hurt, during a routine traffic stop in Auckland's Massey on Friday.

Police Commissioner Andrew Coster says the death of one of two police officers shot during a routine traffic stop in Auckland is a "tragedy".
Police have now called for public help in finding 30-year-old Natalie Bracken.

"The 30-year-old has a warrant to arrest on driving charges and is also wanted to arrest as an accessory after the fact to the murder of Constable Matthew Hunt," Detective Superintendent Dave Lynch said.

"If you see her, then please do not approach her but call 111 immediately."

Police said Bracken was often in the greater Auckland and Northland areas.

"Police also warn any persons that may be assisting her to evade police, that they could face criminal charges themselves."
