A man in the storm-hit city of Brandon in Canada's Manitoba state made the most of the flooded streets: by hitching a ride on the back of a pickup truck and water skiing.

Video filmed on Sunday (June 28) shows the man on what appears to be a surfboard-type device and being pulled by the truck as it turns a corner on a flooded road.

"They're towing somebody!" says a man in the video.

"What the heck?" says his female companion as the man laughs. "Oh my god I'm so glad I got to see this, you've got to be kidding me!"

Homes and stores flooded and trees were toppled all over the city, according to globalnews.ca after a storm hit on Sunday.

This footage was filmed and produced 28 June 2020. Brandon, Manitoba, Canada was hit with a severe storm on Sunday night, leaving damage, flooding and a possible tornado in its wake.
