Shocking moment excavator driver knocks man down using machine arm in south India
In a terrifying incident, a man was knocked down using an excavator arm by its driver in an attempt to draw the man away, in southern India’s Telangana.
The incident took place on July 6 in Kamalapur village of Warangal district.
According to reports, the man, identified as S Mohan, was protesting against development work in a children's park in the area, and resorted to coming in the excavator's way as a hindrance.
In the video shot from the incident site, Mohan can be seen trying to obstruct the machine, and a heated argument rises, before the driver hits him on his head using the loader of the excavator and he falls to the ground.
The victim’s son later filed a complaint against the driver on July 7, identified as Himachal, in the police station.
According to Mangpeda Police Station sub-inspector Venkateswara Rao, the victim was under the influence of alcohol when he approached the construction site.
A first information report (FIR) was registered against the arrested accused on July 7, while the victim was shifted to a government hospital for treatment.
Reportedly, the case is still under investigation.
