Tourists underneath the Acropolis in Athens Greece as the country prepares for more tourists on 15 July 2020 from a 'safe list' of countries which includes the UK. With tourism accounting for 20% of Greece's GDP, the country is hoping to make the most out of it's successful lockdown and low rate of cases and only so far, 193 deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic. On Tuesday, health officials said there were 33 new cases of Coronavirus, with 21 of those being travellers who had recently entered the country by land or air. They also said that 100 tourists had tested positive and were now in quarantine since Greece opened it's borders on 1 July 2020.
