A frog was stuck in the hole of an iron fence while trying to escape a predator snake.

Mee Meemuk, 62, contacted the rescue team to catch a python that had slithered into her house in Buriram, northeastern Thailand.

The woman watched the rescuers catch the 6ft long serpent in her kitchen and as the rescuers brought the snake out she spotted a toad stuck in the fence.

The amphibian was found stuck in a hole in her fence 2ft above the ground and was helpless before the house owner removed it and let it go.

The house owner said she believed the toad might have tried to escape the snake before it was stuck in the hole.

She said: "I think the snake entered the house looking for food, found the toad in the kitchen, and chased it before I spotted it.

"It appeared that the toad survived the hunt but unfortunately was stuck in the hole as it jumped out of the house."
