STORYLINE:

In different parts of the world and due to the reduced human presence due to the coronavirus, hundreds of animals have made appearances in places that we were used to traveling. The reason is very easy to understand. The lack of movement of people or means of transportation caused various species to walk through more urban spaces.

First, members of the Argentine Naval Prefecture were witnesses and protagonists of an unusual event. Due to the scarce or almost zero transit of ships or boats in the Beagle Channel, in Ushuaia, a herd of killer whales appeared, which was protected by Force personnel, who guarded navigation in the area, and took photographs and video to portray that moment.

The event took place near the coast of Playa Larga, in front of the city of Ushuaia, in the province of Tierra del Fuego.

"The presence of these animals in the Bay occurs infrequently," said the specialists, who explained that the specimens, searching for food, entered the area due to the decrease in commercial maritime activity, within the framework of the measures. implemented to deal with the pandemic.

Immediately, the Prefecture mounted a control operation, with the aim of preserving fauna and providing security. In this regard, the Force Coast Station issued a notice to the navigators, while guarding the entire area on board vessels.

And yesterday the surprise was with the southern dolphins. These animals, much more friendly to humans, were spotted from a boat, on patrol of the Argentine Naval Prefecture by the Beagle Channel.

Although the proximity of these animals to the boats is much more usual, the surprising thing was that they accompanied the boat for a large part of its journey, and the personnel of the Argentine Naval Prefecture could film it and share it on their social networks.
