Minneapolis Demands Justice for Jacob Blake During Large March and Rally

On Monday, August 24, Minneapolis marched in solidarity with Jacob Blake. On Sunday, August 23, 29 year old Black man and father, Jacob Blake, was shot in the back by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was shot multiple times at close range. Jacob is in the hospital in critical condition and it is unclear whether he will survive. The cop who shot Jacob has not been arrested or charged in this incident. Minneapolis marched in solidarity while demanding justice for Jacob Blake. The march started at the Hennepin County Government Center in downtown Minneapolis before moving to the Minneapolis Police First Precinct building and back to the government center. Protesters chanted in unison along the march route, often calling for justice for numerous victims of police violence.
