Thousands of asylum seekers in Lesbos, Greece were forced to sleep on roads for the third night in a row after a fire destroyed Moria camp, Europe's largest refugee camp, earlier this week.

Footage filmed on Thursday evening (September 10) between Mytilene, Lesbos' largest town, and Moria camp, shows men, women and children by the roadside.

Police have set up roadblocks preventing refugees from leaving the area.

Police doesn't allow asylum seekers to approach the island's capital Mytilene because of the fear of Coronavirus Covid-19 cases so a few thousand people are forced to stay homeless outside in the olive groves and the road. The location is between the city of Mitilini and Moria Camp.
