Officials carry out a rescue operation in Hyderabad, the capital of southern India's Telangana state, after heavy rain causes severe flooding.

Footage from the operation on Tuesday (October 13) shows rescue officials wade through flooded streets, and residents are taken to safety by boat.

At least 11 people have died in Telangana following incessant rains that lashed several parts of the state, leading to water-logging on roads and inundation of some low-lying areas.

According to local media, eight people, including a child, were crushed to death, and three people were injured after a boulder fell onto their home in the Bandlaguda area. A further three people lost their lives after the wall of a house collapsed in the Gaganpahad area.
