A man in eastern India has created a special home for many varieties of pigeon, earning him the nickname of "Birdman".

Bipra Charan Dalei works as a government employee in Bhadrak district, Odisha, but is better-known for his love and work with birds, as filmed on October 17.

Dalei constructed a sanctuary on the outer roof of his building, making a birdhouse with a small dispensary. Every day morning and evening he comes out and cares for the birds.

He reportedly pays for food and medicine for the birds from his monthly salary.

Dalei commented: "It was [my] dream from childhood to make a birds’ sanctuary."

Now he has between 20 to 25 varieties of pigeons from various states living in his sanctuary, with the present number of pigeons estimated at more than 300.

By profession he is a Government employee ,but he is a Vivd bird-lover. He resides in Bhadrak district Odisha State India.

It is not been as exaggeration to title him as an in same in bird-love. He takes care more than his own siblings. On the outer roof of his building he has built a birds house with a small dispensary. Every day morning and evening he takes care of the birds.

The pigeon wait for Bipracharan. All the pigeon well understand the utterance of Bipracharan as “Aaa”. This “Aaa” sound is sufficient for them. They gather around him. The birds becomes overwhelmed by taking food from his hand .If a bird becomes ill, then Bipracharana stay in fasting .He expends from his monthly salary to purchase food and medicine for the birds.

Bipracharan said ,it was his dream from the child hood to make a birds’ sanctuary. His dream has been fulfilled .He has 20/25 varieties of pigeons from various states in his sanctuary .The present number of pigeons is more than 300 almost.


His life's dedication towards the winged creatures has made him a local celebrity and win a title of 'Birdman' among his friends and neighbours.
