A hilarious video has emerged from a London branch of Wetherspoons showing a man falling spectacularly off a table after trying to dance on top of it.

The filmer, youtube user John Montoya, later wrote online: "After wearing himself out with an energetic performance, he then goes to step down carefully from the wooden table, using his hands to steady his balance. But no! tragedy!

"He loses his bearing, slips suddenly and ends up face first on the cold, hard floor! The whole place erupts into laughter and the young man can barely contain his embarrassment. Very funny!"

The video was shot as the group gathered to celebrate the new year on 1st January 2015 and the unlucky man, a friend of the filmer, was uninjured except for bruised pride.
