'Sorry we missed you': Australia postal worker runs after claiming they tried to deliver non-existent parcel

This was the bizarre moment a postal worker attempted to deliver a parcel without a package anywhere to be seen.

CCTV footage from October 23 shows the postal worker pull up in their van then walk towards the home with no parcel in hand only to leave a "sorry we missed you" leaflet on the door, then run back to their vehicle.

Filmer James McRoberts told Newsflare: "[They got] out of their van with just a 'sorry we missed you' card.

"The card is then carefully placed in the front door as the subcontractor appears to hide from the door so they can take a photo of the card.

"They then run back to the van as fast as they can so they don't have to actually deliver my parcel.

"It's unknown whether or not my parcel was actually in the van."
