During an anti-lockdown protest in Melbourne on Friday (October 23), some of the protesters were seen hitting police horses with their flags during a scuffle with police.

Anti-lockdown protesters descended onto the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne on Friday afternoon to call out Premier Daniel Andrews' tough measures to control COVID-19.

Protesters held placards with slogans claiming COVID is a scam. Arrests were made by police citing the ban on gatherings and violation of prescribed behaviour on the Shrine grounds.

Footage filmed by @1ShotOfPickle shows protesters clashing with police officers on horseback.

Additional footage filmed by @MADinMelbourne shows protesters gathering at the Shrine of Remembrance.
