Despite a ban on protests taking place on Parliament Square, Occupy London defied new laws to demonstrate this afternoon in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament.

The demonstration, involving several dozen Occupy Democracy protesters, went ahead in defiance of a ban by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, on protests in the square. The demo took place on Democracy Day, which this year coincides with the 750th anniversary of the world's first elected parliament.
