Dozens of arrests were made during protests in central London on the first night of England's second full lockdown (November 5).

Anti-lockdown protesters joined the annual Anonymous Million Mask March this year.

Police were seen making arrests on Oxford Street and at Piccadilly Circus.

Piers Corbyn, anti-lockdown campaigner, conspiracy theorist and brother of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, was spotted at the demonstrations.

November 5 is also the date on which the country would normally celebrate Bonfire Night, also called Guy Fawkes Day, with bonfires and fireworks.

The Anonymous group of online 'hacktivists', well known for wearing Guy Fawkes masks, hold an annual rally on the same night.

This year, all such gatherings have been banned under the lockdown.
