Crazy storm hits Toronto beaches!

Buy video

I am working on healing after ACL replacement so doing a lot of walking in my local area. I was keen to get outside on Sunday, so after rain stopped I headed down to Lake Ontario to walk along the boardwalk at the Toronto Beaches. It was a little windy to begin with but the 80-90km/hr gusts came out of nowhere and I had to quickly turn for home. I couldn’t turn around to face the wind because it was too painful with the flying debris and sharp rain. Water from the lake was blowing in horizontally, and within seconds my shoes filled with water and sand. By the time I made it to my own street, trees and power cables were down across the road. It was pretty wild!
