This is the hilarious moment a clever goat was seen trying to ride a motorbike in New Zealand.

The farm animal climbed onto the red two-wheeler before placing its two front legs on the handlebars and hind legs on the seat at a dairy farm in South Canterbury on November 15.

Farm worker Yukimi Yoshihara said the one-year-old female goat named Haru-chan is a curious animal who always plays with farming equipment.

He said: "Haru-chan is a troublemaker. She jumps on anything and sometimes destroys our things here. She has broken another kennel when she hopped on it recently."

Yoshihara, who is originally from Japan, said the dairy farm facility had spent more than 3,000 NZD (around 2,000USD) replacing the fences broken by his pet goat.

Aside from destroying things, the pet goat is often caught stealing smaller items to take away and play with in the field.

However, Yoshihara said the goat is a loving animal that stops misbehaving when he's told to.

Yoshihara added: "We are proud of the goat because he is smart and we helped raise him. It makes our work a bit harder, but even more colourful."

Goats are highly intelligent and curious animals. Studies show that they have a constant desire to explore and investigate anything unfamiliar which they come across. They also communicate with each other by bleating.
