A team of the Fire Department in southern India’s Tamil Nadu rescued a seven-foot-long python that strayed into a town on November 22. The rescue operation was carried out at Sundarapandiam in Srivilliputhur of Virudhunagar.

A video of the snake’s rescue show the huge snake captured by officials of the fire team being placed in a large sack.

The reptile can be seen coiled around one of the personnel’s hand in order to prevent being stuffed in the sack.

The serpent was later handed over to the forest department for further action.
