A tired pet dog fell asleep on a shelf when waiting for its owner to finish shopping at a supermarket.

Toya Dy Bien, the dog's owner, said they went Christmas shopping at a pet-friendly mall in Legazpi City, the Philippines on November 26.

Her 4-month-old pooch named Ferrero was sleepy after hours of walking around the shops so they put him down on an empty rock.

They thought the dog would stand up if they leave, but it continued on snoozing there with all the baskets around it.

Toya said: "We even acted like we were leaving but I guess he loved the cold environment and slept soundly. Wouldn't even wake up even if we were poking it around."
