Japan: Cold Wave Brings Heavy Snow Causing Numerous Accidents In Regions Along Japan Sea
A cold air mass has brought record snow to the Japan Sea side and the northern regions since Wednesday, causing large numbers of snow-related accidents.
On Thursday, December 17, more than 1,100 vehicles were stranded on Kan-Etsu Expressway.
Japanese government deployed the Self Defense Forces to help residents trapped by record snowfall that has blanketed parts of the country.
