Storm Bella has brought heavy snow to parts of France, following days of heavy rains and high winds.

Five departments (administrative regions) in the centre-south of the country -- Aveyron, Cantal, Corrèze, Lozère, and Puy-de-Dôme -- were placed under snow and ice alerts.

Another 87 departments across the nation were on yellow alert on Sunday morning, for the possibility of high winds, rain and flooding.

Storm Bella brought heavy snow, as well as heavy rains and 130 kph winds to parts of France days after Christmas.

Five departments in the center-south, namely Aveyron, Cantal, Corrèze, Lozère, and Puy-de-Dôme, were placed under snow and ice alerts. Other 87 departments across the nation were on yellow alert on Sunday morning for violent wind, flooding and storms.
